What is Mill Finish?, A breif discussion on coatings. (0 Replies, Read 1626 times)

People that use Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) or work with metal in general are probably familiar with the term "Mill Finish".  Essentially, it's uncoated aluminum or metal, or what you would expect to see coming directly from the mill.

This is especially useful when working on projects that only require a one-sided application (i.e. a wall-mounted sign).  If the back side of the panel isn't seen, then it doesn't need to be treated in order to accept graphics.  This, in turn, reduces material cost.

With this in mind, Alcan has released a new product to the market:
e-panel™ White/Mill Finish.

The material still comes with standard white polyester paint on the top side to receive graphics, but the back (unseen) side has a mill finish.  For more information, please visit:  e-panelUSA.com
