UV protective films are currently being investigated. At the present time, there are no UV protective films that are known to extend the outdoor weatherability
polyester finishes to an acceptable long-term performance level. The UV resistance of the film and the ability of the adhesive to withstand outdoor exposure are important long-term performance issues that need to be addressed prior to using this type of film.
