Gatorfoam® Exterior is specifically engineered to adress the extreme conditions found outdoors: heat, cold, and humidity. It has been tested according to ASTM D1183C, in temperatures ranging from -70 to 160°F, and in the combination of high heat and humidity (100°F with 95% relative humidity). Made In USA.
Performance
Gatorfoam Exterior utilizes a specially formulated adhesive that improves both bond strength and moisture resistance to reduce the chance of delaminating. The new glue formulation may "yellow" over time; however, testing shows that this does not affect performance.
Treatment
It is recommended that the exposed edges of Gatorfoam Exterior be sealed with a non-solvent paint or primer to alleviate any visual issues of the yellow glue line. This product is approved for outdoor use only and not for interior applications unless edging is used.
Gatorfoam Exterior retains all of the same qualities of the original Gatorfoam family: legendary rigidity, superior dent and scratch resistance, and an excellent reputation for digital and screen printing. Gatorfoam Exterior uses the exact same facer and foam used by original Gatorfoam; only the adhesive has changed. For this reason, samples of the product are not available.
